Pre-tension / Precast Concrete Construction San Diego
What it is: Pre-stressed concrete is done at the pre-cast plant beginning with the stressing of the cables in a steel anchored form. There is no sheathing or grease because the concrete is placed directly on the stressed cables within the steel form. The stressed cables are later cut and released into the beam, as used for bridgework or piling.
What it does: Compresses the shape to be held together by friction.
What we do: We provide flow rate tests, temperature and cast a set of concrete cylinders for compressive strength. This flowable concrete mix is designed to set up fast and sometimes requires two concrete technicians to test the mix.
Relating to the above title Concrete construction continues to expand in San Diego including strengthening of existing structures, seismic retrofit, additional reinforcing steel, and post-tensioned beams all under the guide of the Structural Engineers drawings.
San Diego precast concrete inspection includes flowable concrete testing at the precast yard of the following plastic properties: Ambient temperature, flowable concrete mix temperature, slump, unit weight, and casting a set of concrete cylinders for compressive strength.
