Residential Retaining Wall

These San Diego county images show the work in progress for a residential retaining wall. This wall provides additional real estate in the back yard of a sloped grade. Building a wall on a slope is possible with a geotechnical engineered excavated keyway at the bottom which interlocks the retaining wall system. This procedure secures the system in place and works with a strong geo-grid material locking in with soil backfill material compaction every two feet. The drainage system is in place to remove any damaging hydrostatic pressure from behind the wall. We field inspect for soil backfill compaction and test grout for compressive strength.
